Police Seek Information: Assault At Emerald

Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into an alleged assault in Emerald during September last year.

It will be alleged just after 11pm on Saturday, September 30, 2024, three people broke into a Bridgeman Street property and assaulted a 56-year-old man who was home at the time.

The trio left the property on foot toward Opal Street a short time later.

The 56-year-old man was taken to hospital with significant facial injuries and broken ribs.

Following extensive investigations, detectives from Emerald's Criminal Investigation Branch arrested and charged two men in relation to the alleged assault.

However, police have been unable to locate the third man.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a proportionate build and grey hair.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and shorts, and tan work-boots.

Detectives are appealing to the man or anyone with further information to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
