Police seek information: Attempted theft, Capalaba

Police are appealing to the public for information in relation to an attempted armed robbery at Capalaba this afternoon, Friday March 4.

At approximately 5pm a man returned to his car in a hardware carpark on Pittwin Road at Capalaba.

Two men approached the vehicle armed with what appeared to be a firearm. The men threatened the man and attempted to enter his vehicle however he locked the doors.

The two men left the scene in a grey Mitsubishi Pajero. No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives are releasing images of the vehicle and are appealing to anyone who may have seen it, witnessed the incident or has dashcam in the area at the time to contact police.

The registration plates on the grey Pajero are false plates.
