Police seek information into suspicious death at Rosebery

Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate the suspicious death of a man in Sydney last month.

About 9pm on Friday 8 October 2021, emergency services were called to Dalmeny Avenue, Rosebery, following reports the body of a 33-year-old man had been found in a fire exit of an apartment block.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command established Strike Force Bernacchi to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death, including how the man came to be in the fire exit.

As part of inquiries, detectives have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with their investigation.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm – 180cm tall, and of large build. At the time, he was wearing a black cap, black and white jacket, black track pants and white runners.
