Police seek information on Assault at Tennant Creek 17 May

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an assault in Tennant Creek overnight.

Between 12 and 12.45am, a 59-year-old man exited his residence on Kittle Street to confront a person causing a disturbance in the drain behind his property.

An unknown offender has allegedly assaulted the resident with an edged weapon, causing a laceration to his wrist. The unidentified man fled the scene while the victim required medical treatment for his injuries.

The offender is described as of Aboriginal appearance, 170cm tall, aged 17-18 years and wearing black jeans and a yellow and orange Aboriginal design jumper.

Police are urging anyone with information, particularly if you witnessed the offender in the area, to contact 131 444. Please quote reference 10347186.
