Police seek information on Hit and run - Daly River

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a hit and run within the Daly River region last week.

At about 12pm on Saturday 2 October, a vehicle in a community near Daly River struck a 40-year-old male. The male had later been flown to Royal Darwin Hospital by Careflight and is currently in a stable condition.

Katherine Criminal Investigation Branch are conducting investigations into the incident and are seeking information on the driver.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Jeremy Brunton said, "Police would like to reassure the Daly River region that investigations are ongoing. We are working in consultation with the community to restore calm, while ensuring public safety."

Anyone with information on the location of the driver or information in relation to the incident is urged to come forward and contact police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and reference 9809263.
