Police seek information on Robbery in Alice Springs 24 January

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a robbery in Alice Springs overnight.

At 1:15am, police received reports that up to 4 males unlawfully entered a residence on Memorial Drive, Gillen. One of the males allegedly used an edged weapon to enter the premises before physically assaulting a 70-year-old woman inside. The offenders have stolen the victim's mobile phone and fled the scene. The victim received minor injuries.

A crime scene was declared and detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Adam Donaldson said "This was a cowardly attack on a vulnerable member of our community and police are urging anyone with information to make contact on 131 444.
