Police seek man on arrest warrant at Wollongong

Detectives investigating an alleged armed robbery in Wollongong have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man.

Shortly after 2.30pm on Monday 5 August 2019, officers from Wollongong Police District were contacted following reports of an armed robbery at a liquor store on Burelli Street, Wollongong.

On arrival, police were told a 20-year-old female employee was threatened by a man with a knife, who demanded cash before fleeing the store and making his way towards Wollongong Railway Station.

Following inquiries, detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Warren Willis, aged 26.

Wilson is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, approximately 185cm tall and 90kg, with brown hair. He is known to frequent the Berkeley area.

Anyone who sees him, or believes they know his whereabouts, is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
