Police Transport officers have commenced Operation Savete to investigate incidents of offensive behaviour of Sydney's public transport network.
Operation Savete was established in early 2026 by the Police Transport Command to investigate a number of serious offences on public transport.
As part of the operation, police are appealing for public assistance to identify men who they believe to may be able to assist with inquiries into alleged offensive acts committed on the rail network.
Today (Friday 14 August 2026), police have released images of three men they who believe may be able to assist with these ongoing investigations.

Incident A – About 3:30pm on Tuesday 29 October 2024, a man allegedly touched a child travelling on a train between Carramar and Cabramatta Railway Stations.
As part of inquiries, police are hoping to speak to a man who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 40-years of age, large build with long fingernails. He was last seen wearing a black hat, sunglasses, white shirt with blue/red "Ben Sherman" logo, black pants, black thongs and carrying a black backpack.
Incident B – About 12pm on Saturday 3 May 2025, officers commenced inquiries after a man allegedly performed an offensive act on a train travelling from Town Hall to Waterfall Railway Stations. The man allegedly alighted from the train at Waterfall Railway Station.
As part of inquiries, police are hoping to speak to a man who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The man is described as being as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with light coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, white shirt, grey tracksuit pants, with black sneakers and white trim.
Incident C – About 3.15pm on Sunday 24 May 2026, while on a train at Regents Park Railway Station heading southbound, allegedly performed an offensive act.
As part of inquiries, police are hoping to speak to a man who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The man is described as being of Asian appearance, about 35-years-old, thin build, with an indistinguishable tattoo on his left arm. He was wearing brown jumper, light coloured shorts with a brown belt, brown sandals and carrying a black backpack.
