Police Seek Missing Burwood Teen

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney's south west.

Julia Selvanayagam, aged 14, was last seen in Burwood, about 9am on Friday (19 September 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for Julia's welfare due to her age.

Julia is described as being of African appearance, about 155cm tall, of thin build, with long black curly hair.

She was last seen wearing school uniform consisting of a white blouse, navy/blue plaid knee length skirt and a backpack.

Julia is known to frequent the Burwood area.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to contact Burwood Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
