Police Seek Missing Elderly Man From Berkeley

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man reported missing from the Illawarra area.

Arthur Reedy, aged 89, was last seen on Nottingham Street, Berkeley, about 11.30am on Thursday 30 April 2026.

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police have concerns for Arthur's welfare as he lives with dementia.

Arthur is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm to 175cm tall, of thin build, with light grey receding hair and unshaven.

He was last seen wearing a grey flannelette shirt, grey or blue work pants, and possibly blue and black slippers.

Arthur may be driving a white 1989 Toyota Hilux with NSW registration 'JB-877' and is known to frequent the Woonona and Corrimal areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Lake Illawarra Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
