Police seek motorcyclist after crash on Monash Freeway

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for a motorcyclist to come forward as part of their ongoing investigating into a crash on the Monash Freeway last month.

It is alleged two cars were seen travelling city bound on the Monash and appeared to be racing; weaving and changing lanes prior to one of the car crashing on Monday 28 December.

The 20-year-old driver from Dandenong was conveyed to hospital with life threatening injuries.

His 18-year-old passenger, also from Dandenong, was conveyed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are keen to identify a motorcyclist who was on the freeway at the time and who may have witnessed the alleged incident.

A 20-year-old man from Narre Warren South was arrested on 30 December in relation to the incident and a vehicle was seized.

He was charged with negligently cause serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury, conduct endangering life and conduct endangering person.
