Police seek witnesses after cars stolen during Port Melbourne aggravated burglary

Detectives from the Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after two Mercedes Benz wagons were stolen during an aggravated burglary in Port Melbourne on Sunday morning.

Investigators believe unknown offenders forced entry into a Morley Mews house about 5.40am.

The offenders ransacked the ground floor and stole a number of items, including two sets of car keys.

The offenders then stole a 2017 white Mercedes Benz CLC250 wagon bearing registration AQU 570 and a 2014 black Mercedes ML63 wagon bearing registration 1IB 4MF.

The occupants, who were sleeping at the time of the incident, were not injured.

Investigators have today released a like image of the white Mercedes and an actual image of the black Mercedes in the hope someone may see them and come forward.

Anyone who sights the cars is urged to call Triple Zero (000).
