Police seek witnesses after hit-run in Ascot Vale

Fawkner Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a hit-run collision in Ascot Vale on Sunday 16 May.

Emergency services were called to Mt Alexander Road after a woman was struck by a car about 8.45pm.

Investigators have been told that a man and a woman, were pushing a baby in a stroller across Mt Alexander Road, near Mascoma Street, when the woman was struck by a car travelling north towards Ormond Road.

The victim, a 35-year-old Ascot Vale woman, was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries.

The man and the child were not injured.

Witnesses have described the car involved as being a small dark-coloured hatchback.
