Police seek witnesses following South Yarra fatal collision

Prahran Highway Patrol are seeking public assistance following a fatal collision at South Yarra yesterday afternoon, Victoria Police say.

It’s understood a cyclist and truck were both travelling east along Toorak Road, toward Punt Road, about 2.15pm.

The truck performed a left turn onto Punt Road and collided with a cyclist.

The truck driver, a 38-year-old Springvale South man, stopped at the scene and assisted investigators.

The cyclist, a 28-year-old St Kilda East woman, died at the scene.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, in particular anyone with dash cam footage or anyone who saw a woman riding a bright red mountain bike along Toorak Road, near Punt Road, to contact Crime Stoppers.
