Police seek witnesses - Robbery in Alice Springs 13 October

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a robbery which left a man with serious injuries in Alice Springs today.

Between 11 and 11:30am a 47-year-old man was walking along a service road adjacent to Gap Road (between a local supermarket and Brookes Street) when it is alleged he was attacked by a group of men.

It is further alleged the offenders physically assaulted the man using weapons before stealing his wallet, which contained a large sum of cash before fleeing the scene.

The man self-presented to the Alice Springs Hospital with serious injuries and remains in a stable condition.

Police are seeking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area of Gap Road and Brookes Street during the hours of 11 and 12noon today to contact them on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and reference PROMIS number 9817544.
