Police seek witnesses - Structure Fires - Stuart Park

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a structure fire which occurred at a Stuart Park residence yesterday morning.

Emergency services received reports of smoke and flames coming from the residence around 1:40am.

Police attended with Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service who extinguished the blaze. Moderate damage was caused to the ground floor of the property.

Yesterday's structure fire is the second to occur at the residence within four weeks.

Police are also calling for witnesses in relation to the first fire which occurred around 12:20am on 20 January. The property and a car was damaged as a result.

Preliminary investigations indicate that both fires were deliberate.

Police ask anyone who sighted people acting suspiciously in the area on both dates to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
