Police seek witnesses to aggravated assault - Malak

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged aggravated assault in Malak last night.

About 5:35pm, a 42-year-old female confronted a 44-year-old male in the car park opposite the shopping complex on Malak Crescent, Malak. The female allegedly assaulted the male resulting serious injuries. Several pedestrians who were in the area at the time attempted to intervene. Police arrested the woman shortly after the incident and she remains in custody pending charges.

Senior Constable Jacqui Lyndon said, "We would like to speak to the people who intervened and any other witnesses to the incident. The alleged offender is an Aboriginal woman, 160 centimetres in height, solid build with dark short hair."
