Police seek witnesses to aggravated assault in Darwin City

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an aggravated assault in Darwin City overnight.

At around 11pm, two men were engaged in an argument on Cavenagh Street when a 34-year-old man was allegedly assaulted.

Police and St John Ambulance located the victim near a bank on Smith Street. He was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital suffering a significant injury.

Serious Crime detectives continue to investigate the matter.
