Police seek witnesses to armed robbery in Carlton Gardens

Melbourne Embona Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Carlton on Tuesday 17 December.

Police have been told six males approached the two male victims who were walking through the Carlton Garden about 1.45am.

The group threatened the 19-year-old victims and made demands for their property then started to frisk them.

One of the male offenders produced a knife and the group assaulted the two victims causing minor injuries.

The victims had their wallets stolen and were able to escape and run away.

Two male offenders are perceived to be Pacific Islander in appearance.

Four male offenders are perceived to be Caucasian in appearance.

Police have released images of two males they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
