Police seek witnesses to Cooper Street collision

Greensborough Highway Patrol are investigating following a two-car collision in Epping on Thursday evening.

Investigators have been told a silver Holden Commodore was observed by police travelling north on Edgars Road at a fast rate of speed when officers attempted to intercept the vehicle.

The vehicle failed to pull over and police did not pursue the vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle collided into a black Hyundai at the intersection of cooper street about 10.20pm.

A driver of the Commodore, a 19-year-old Hampton Park man, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

Two passengers, aged 19 and 21 both from Mt Evelyn, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to hospital.
