Police seek witnesses to criminal damage on train

Transit Divisional Response Unit detectives are investigating criminal damage on a moving train from North Melbourne Railway Station last month.

It's believed a male boarded the rear coupler of a train on 12 August about 5.30pm, headed toward Watergardens Railway Station.

The male marked the rear driver's window with graffiti while the train was in motion.

He got off at Footscray Railway Station and was confronted by platform staff but fled and jumped on the same train as it took off.

Investigators have released images and CCTV of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
