Police seek witnesses to Epping assault

Police are hoping to speak with a witness following an alleged assault in Epping last month.

Investigators believe a man followed a woman in a white Ford Territory down Woodcutter Grove before allegedly assaulting her near Kyabram Street on Sunday 9 February about 7.30pm.

Police arrived on scene shortly after and subsequently arrested the 26-year-old man.

He was charged with make threats to kill and was bailed to reappear at Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 21 May.

Police believe the parties are known to each other.

Investigators are keen to speak with a male passer-by who stopped and rendered assistance at the scene.
