Police seek witnesses to fatal Burra crash, SA

Major Crash investigators are appealing for members of the public who were first on scene at a fatal crash at Burra earlier this month to come forward, according to SA Police.

About 12.15pm on Friday 8 July, a car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of the Barrier Highway and Copperhouse Road at Burra.

The male motorcyclist was treated at the scene and then rushed to the local Burra Hospital but sadly died shortly after arrival.

Some members of the public who came across the collision scene tried to render assistance prior to the arrival of emergency services. A man collected some items from the road surface, including two GoPro cameras and sunglasses, and handed them to CFS, but left prior to police arrival.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to the man who collected the GoPro cameras from the scene, as he may have information that may assist the investigation into the fatal collision.

He is asked to contact Major Crash Investigation Section on 8207 6559 or provide his details to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at http://crimestopperssa.com.au
