Police seek witnesses to hit run in South Yarra

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike rider was left with serious injuries following a hit-run in South Yarra yesterday.

Investigators have been told a motorcycle was travelling south along Williams Road about 4.35pm, when a black Audi pulled out of Bruce Street and collided with the rider.

It is understood the driver of the Audi did not stop to assist the injured rider and fled the scene.

The rider, a 25-year-old Hughesdale man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with any information, dash cam footage, or who may have seen the Audi prior to or after the collision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
