Police seek witnesses to Mount Waverley collision 6 November

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Mount Waverley this morning.

Investigators have been told a 77-year-old Mount Waverley man was crossing at the intersection of High Street and Leeds Road when he was struck about 9.30am.

Officers believe the 2008 Ford Falcon Utility with a silver tray was travelling east on High Street.

The pedestrian, a 77-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 44-year-old Doveton male, stopped at the scene.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or with CCTV/dashcam footage.
