Police seek witnesses - Unlawful entries in Alice Springs 28 September

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after a number of ram raids around Alice Springs overnight.

Around 5:30pm yesterday, a white Toyota land cruiser was allegedly stolen from a community in the Barkly region.

The vehicle was then allegedly used in three ram raids across Alice Springs.

The first was at 11:50pm at a service station on Spearwood Road, Sadadeen.

The second was at 2am at another service station on Dalgety Road, Braitling.

The third was at 3am at a business on the Stuart Highway north of Alice Springs.

During each unlawful entry, extensive damage was caused to the premises and a number of small items were stolen.

A number of people were believed to be involved at various stages of the offending with Strike Force Viper currently reviewing CCTV.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chay McArthur said "A black Toyota land cruiser was also stolen from Desert Springs overnight, but has since been recovered by investigators. The white land cruiser remains outstanding.

"Police are urging anyone with information, particularly dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10116129.

"You can make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
