Police seize cannabis plants worth almost $38,000 in Jindera

A man will appear at court after police seized firearms and cannabis plants at a home in Jindera, Riverina region of NSW, NSW Police say.

About 10.30am today, police attended a home on Mitchell Street, Jindera, where they spoke to a 53-year-old man.

Whilst police were at the location, they located and seized 17 cannabis plants, two rifles and two air rifles.

The estimated potential street value of the cannabis is $38,000.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at his home and taken to Albury Police Station.

He was charged with cultivate prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess more than 3 unregistered firearms without a licence, not keep firearm safe x 4 counts, and possess unregistered firearm – not prohibited firearm/pistol x 3 counts.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Albury Local Court on Tuesday 18 April, 2017.
