Police seize cannabis plants worth over $600,000 in Colebee

A man has been charged after 121 cannabis plants were found during a search warrant in Sydney’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.40pm (Wednesday 1 November 2017), police from North West Region Enforcement Squad executed a search warrant at a home on Cordoba Street, Colebee.

Officers located the plants and other items utilised in their cultivation inside the home.

The plants have an estimated potential street value of $605,000.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with several offences including:

- Cultivate by enhanced indoor means prohibited plant for commercial purpose;

- Cultivate prohibited plant (commercial quantity);

- Deal with proceeds of crime; and

- Use/consume/waste electricity without authority.

The man was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Thursday 2 November 2017).
