Police are investigating following the suspicious death of a man in Aurukun yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary information suggests a 37-year-old man was transported to a medical centre between 3.10 and 3.45pm on January 1 after sustaining a wound to his abdomen.
He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the man's death, with additional support being provided from Weipa and Cairns.
Two males are currently assisting with inquiries.
