Police are at the scene of a suspicious death at Modbury North.
About 7pm today (Tuesday 21 November), police were called to a house in Kelly Road to check on the welfare of a woman living at the premises.
Police searched the property and located the woman's body inside the house.
Detectives from the Northern District CIB along with Major Crime detectives are heading to the scene.
Police believe that the suspect may have left the area in a white 2008 Mitsubishi Triton ute, with registration of XTN167.
Anyone who sees the vehicle is urged not to approach the ute but call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
