Police Treating Fires As Suspicious, Underwood

Police are investigating after two food-trucks were destroyed in separate fires at an Underwood commercial precinct this week.

Around 1.10am this morning, 1 October, officers were called to a business premises on Logan Road following reports a food-truck was on fire in the carpark.

Emergency services attended and extinguished the fire, where a crime-scene was declared.

The truck sustained significant damage.

Detectives are looking into a similar fire at the same commercial premises where a separate food truck was extensively damaged around 3.20am yesterday morning, 30 September.

Investigations indicate that the fire started in a storage unit, before spreading to an attached food-truck.

No one was injured during either of the incidents.

Detectives are appealing to any witnesses, or anyone with vision that may assist with investigations into these two fires, to contact police.

Investigations continue.
