Police treating house fire as suspicious at Beverley, South Australia

Western District Police are investigating a fire that caused significant damage to an abandoned house at Beverley overnight.

Just after 1am on Tuesday 14 July, police and fire crews were called to a fire house on Grange Road, just near the intersection of Holbrooks Road.

On arrival, the abandoned stoned front home was well alight. The blaze was brought quickly under control by several MFS units before it could spread to neighbouring businesses.

A 32-year-old woman who had been inside the premises was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with smoke inhalation, but she has since been discharged.

Fire Cause Investigators have been called into investigated the fire.

Police are also investigating reporters from witnesses or a man seeing the leaving the house at the time of the fire.
