Police have charged a man following an emergency declaration at Bridgeman Downs yesterday morning, May 13.
It will be alleged the declaration was made at approximately 7.17am following a report of an armed man inside a house on Bangalow Street.
The 33-year-old Bridgeman Downs man was taken into custody without incident shortly before 9am and is undergoing further assessment.
It will be alleged that during a search of the property, a gel blaster was located and seized.
The man has since been issued a notice to appear for two counts of serious assault public officer, and one count of failed to store restricted item.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 17.
Investigations are ongoing.
