Police update 1: Fatal traffic crash, Lawnton

A 28-year-old man has died following a serious two vehicle crash that occurred at Lawnton last month, December 22.

Investigations indicate at approximately 7.30pm, a scooter and a car collided at the corner of Gympie Road and Lawnton Pocket Road.

The Griffin man, who was the rider of the scooter, sustained critical injuries, and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

He has since died due to his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit continues to appeal for anyone who has yet to speak to police about this incident to come forward.

Investigations continue.
