Police update 1: Homicide investigation, Wilston

A 17-year-old boy has been charged following the alleged homicide of a 43-year-old Wilston man this morning (January 23).

Initial investigations indicate the 43-year-old man was fatally stabbed, and at 1.50am, the man's body was discovered on Newmarket Road.

Two juveniles were located a short time later and taken into custody.

The 17-year-old Burpengary boy was charged with murder and will be kept in custody to face the Brisbane Children's Court at a later date.

The 17-year-old Keperra girl was charged with one count of assault police. She has also been denied police bail and will appear before Brisbane Childrens Court at a later date.

Investigations remain ongoing, and investigators would like to speak with any witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage from the vicinity of Newmarket Road in the hours surrounding 2 am today.
