Police Update 1: Murder Charge At Hampton

Detectives have released an image of a motorcycle as they continue to appeal for information into the suspicious disappearance of a man from Hampton.

Paul Woods' (pictured) out of character disappearance was first reported to police on October 14, with officers from Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) establishing Operation Xray Letter on Friday 17 October.

Investigations led detectives to establish two crime scenes at a property in Hampton on Saturday 18 October along with a property in Cressbrook Creek on Sunday 19 October, where forensic examinations continue.

A 45-year-old Crows Nest man has since been charged with murder and appeared in Southport Magistrates Court today.

Police believe Mr Woods was last seen riding an unregistered blue and white Yamaha 450 motorbike (pictured) on the afternoon of Saturday, 5 October, between the Hampton and Cressbrook Creek area.

Police are yet to locate the missing motorbike.

Anyone with relevant CCTV footage or dashcam of the motorbike in Hampton, Crows Nest and Cressbrook Creek area between 5-6 October, is urged to contact police.
