Police update 1: Sudden death, Craignish

Police investigations are continuing into the sudden death of a 64-year-old caretaker from the Craignish Country Club.

Police were called just before 8am yesterday (August 16) in response to discovery of the man at the property.

Detectives from the Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Squad commenced an investigation and are treating the death as suspicious.

The country club was closed for business when this incident occurred.

Police are interested in speaking to anyone who may have CCTV that faces on to Pialba Burrum Heads Road to secure the footage from Sunday night.

Investigators also urge anyone who may have been in the area, or who was driving on Pialba Burrum Heads Road between 10pm and 11pm with dash cam footage to contact police.
