Police Update 1: Sunken Vessel At Port Douglas

Water Police have released new images of the make and model of a vessel which sunk halfway between Low Island and Batt Reef, off Port Douglas on 26 July.

The vessel is an 8m sailing vessel and no one was believed to have been onboard at the time it sunk.

Police believe the vessel may have been sold online within the last month.

Water Police would like to speak to the old or new owners to confirm their safety and urge anyone who recognised the vessel to contact police.
