Police update 2: Appeal to locate wanted man, Rockhampton, Gladstonein Brisbane

A man alleged to be using online dating applications to meet women before robbing them has been charged with 21 offences after being arrested by North Brisbane detectives yesterday.

He was detained in Hamilton by virtue of a warrant for failing to appear in court on a matter from 2019, and has since been linked to a number of alleged serious offences including assault, robbery, fraud, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing occurring between Brisbane and Rockhampton.

The 31-year-old man was charged with 11 counts of fraud, two counts each of breach of bail, failure to appear in accordance with undertaking, stealing and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, possess tainted property, wilful damage and using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today (August 24).

Investigations are continuing into further matters.
