Police Update 2: Homicide Investigation, Clayfield

Detectives are appealing for information as part of an ongoing homicide investigation following the death of a 58-year-old man in Clayfield on June 26.

It will be alleged, around 8.15pm, the Clayfield man was located deceased at an Oriel Road property, where a large group of teenagers were present.

A 15-year-old Clayfield boy known to the man was arrested and charged with murder.

Operation Xray Matte has been launched and investigators are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage in the areas of Oriel Road, Alexandra Road and Barlow Street, between the hours of 7pm to 8.30pm, to contact Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with any information that may assist with investigations is urged to come forward.
