Police update 2: Police commence excavation in cold case homicide investigation - Priscilla Brooten

Detectives have charged a 43-year-old man with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the disappearance of Bracken Ridge woman Priscilla Brooten.

Homicide detectives and detectives from Moreton District have been investigating the circumstances surrounding her disappearance since 46-year-old Ms Brooten was reported missing in December last year.

Forensic officers will remain on scene at a site in Denham Street, Bracken Ridge as part of a seven-day crime scene warrant.

The 43-year-old Bracken Ridge man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
