Police update 4: Sunnybank shooting

Police have charged a third person with accessory after the fact to attempted murder as investigations continue into the shooting of a man and woman at Sunnybank on Saturday, June 22.

The arrest overnight of the 39-year-old Greenbank man is the second due to assistance they are alleged to have provided to the people directly involved in the shooting.

On July 3, police charged a 41-year-old man from Pallara with two counts of being an accessory after the fact to attempted murder.

On June 23, a 24-year-old Doolandella man was charged with multiple offences including two counts of being an accessory after the fact to attempted murder. He appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 24 and was remanded in custody to next appear in court on July 22.

Police investigating the shooting are still appealing for public assistance to help locate Brendyn Clark, a 38-year-old Sunnybank Hills man, who may be able to assist with the investigation.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr Clark and investigators are appealing for public assistance to help locate him.

Mr Clark is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with a slim build, very short sandy/ginger hair and green eyes.

Police have provided a photograph of Clark but his appearance may have changed.

The firearm believed to have been used in shooting has been located, but it is unknown if Clark has access to other weapons; as such anyone who sights Mr Clark is urged not to approach him but to immediately call triple zero (000).

He has been bailed to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on July 26.
