Police Update: Assault Appeal At Morayfield

Detectives from Petrie Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged four people including two teenagers, over the alleged assault of a teenage boy at Morayfield earlier this month.

It will be alleged on 2 February, a group of people were involved in an altercation on Oakey Flat Road near the intersection with Ridgegarden Drive.

A 16-year-old boy suffered head injuries and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment.

A 15-year-old Morayfield boy was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and a 17-year-old Burpengary boy was also charged with one count of acts intended to maim.

Both teens were due to face Caboolture Children's Court on 10 February.

A 30-year-old Morayfield man was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and three counts of possess utensils.

A 39-year-old Morayfield man was also charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle, producing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.

Both men were due to face Pine River Magistrates Court on 10 February.

Investigations are ongoing and any further witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam from the area is urged to contact police.
