Police Update: Assault Appeal, Mooloolaba

Police have finalised their investigations into the assault of a man in Mooloolaba in December last year.

Around 10.30pm on 20 December 2025, a man in his 60s was walking along Mooloolaba Esplanade when he was approached by a group of males, one of which allegedly assaulted him.

He sustained non-life-threatening head injuries.

Following a public appeal a 15-year-old Buderim boy was identified.

After further investigations, he has been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
