Police update: Assault appealin Brisbane City

Detectives investigating the alleged assault of a man in Brisbane City on October 22 have charged a Logan Reserve man with grievous bodily harm.

It will be alleged a 37-year-old Spring Hill man was waiting outside a fast-food restaurant near Queen and Albert Streets at approximately 4am when he was struck once, causing him to fall to the ground.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with facial injuries.

Following extensive investigations, police attended a Logan Reserve address earlier today, December 23, and took a 19-year-old man into custody.

He has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm, and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 12, 2024.
