Police update: Charges - Property offences in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged four youths and an adult in relation to property offences in Darwin on Sunday night.

Strike Force Trident detectives arrested the five alleged offenders yesterday and have since charged them accordingly.

13-year-old male:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Unlawful entry building
  • 1 x Damage to property
  • 1 x Stealing
  • 1 x Serious breach of bail

13-year-old male:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Drive a motor vehicle unlicensed
  • 1 x Proceed beyond red traffic light
  • 1 x Fail to drive in traffic lane
  • 1 x Serious breach of bail
  • 1 x Possess stolen property

16-year-old male:

  • 1 x Serious breach of bail

17-year-old male:

  • 1 x Unlawful entry
  • 1 x Damage to property
  • 1 x Stealing

20-year-old male:

  • 1 x Breach of bail
  • 1 x Damage to property
  • 1 x Unlawful entry building
  • 1 x Stealing

They were all remanded to appear before court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "Strike Force Trident detectives last night also located the stolen vehicle to be returned. This incident was senseless, cowardly, violent behaviour, and these individuals will face court for it."
