Police update: Dangerous drugs trafficking charges

Detectives from the State Crime Command's Drug and Serious Crime Group have laid additional charges against a 43-year-old man for the trafficking of dangerous drugs.

The man was initially charged with drug trafficking offences in September 2019 following the multi-agency investigation and seizure of 776 kilograms of MDMA powder by police as part of Operation Romeo Ratify, one of Queensland's most significant drug seizures.

As part of ongoing investigations, detectives working as part of Operation Romeo Ratify yesterday laid additional charges against the man in relation to trafficking, possession and supply of an additional 400 kilograms of MDMA.

The man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
