Police update: Drug trafficking charges at Murgon

Murgon detectives have charged a 37-year-old Kingaroy woman with 148 offences following an ongoing drug operation in South Burnett.

Operation Debug was launched in November last year to target the unlawful supply of dangerous drugs in the region.

Police will allege the woman supplied small quantities of methylamphetamine to 38 people in exchange for more than $9,000 between January 2023 and June 2023.

The Kingaroy woman was arrested in Kingaroy on June 6 and has been charged with 148 offences including trafficking dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, possess anything used in the commission of crime and contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.

She is due to appear before Murgon Magistrates Court on June 7.

Investigations are continuing.
