Police Update: Fatal Traffic Crash, Kalkie

A 47-year-old Norville man has been charged following a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash in Kalkie last year on November 1.

It will be alleged around 8:20pm, a 2021 Mazda CX-8 and a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder were involved in a head-on collision on Fe Walker Street.

An occupant of the Mazda, a 57-year-old Bargara woman, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The other three occupants of the Mazda were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, the Norville man, was also transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The Norville man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and grievous bodily harm and learning to drive must be properly supervised.

He is due to appear before Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 16.
