Police Update: Fatal Traffic Crash, North Ipswich

A man has died in hospital as a result of his injuries sustained from a serious traffic crash involving a vehicle and bicycle in North Ipswich.

Initial investigations indicate a man riding a bicycle along Lennon Lane collided with a silver Hyundai i30 at the intersection of Pine Street around 5:36pm on Friday, 10 July.

The rider, a 50-year-old North Ipswich man, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday, 11 July.

The occupants of the vehicle were not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
